Sometimes I wonder, If I'm just whistling in the wind, Is there a single listener? For if others could hear, It would strike a chord of fear. Sometimes I wonder, If I've the only window, On nature? For sure... if others could see, Then, certainly, They'd take notice, Of our course. Sometimes I wonder, If I'm the only one touched, By our blunder, For if others could feel, They'd know the deal. Sometimes I wonder, If I'm the only one to taste... How bitter, For if others took a bite, They'd have insight. (What a waste!) Sometimes I wonder, If I'm the only one to smell, The burning sulfur, 'cause we might as well be in hell, The way the children suffer. "And, I wonder... who wrote the book of love?"
