Quebec is lost in a sea of rebellious independents and the American
Dream.
Culture was the most important part of Quebec's patrimonial history.
It was the reason why people wanted to be an independent country to
Canada.
But now, the dream died and the American Dream took place in the
heads of our people.
Some persist and remain true to their beliefs, but they, too, will
soon be invaded by Americans.
Of course, we don't want to judge Americans, but rather we'd like
to point out Quebecers who try to be something they are not. The
folkloric sounds are faded out as Big Rock'n'roll distortion. The
American Dream is having success, big money, with the big car, being
very good looking, with the big house and the pretty big boobed blond.
Well, that's what's going on her these days.
People don't think about culture and the original way of living and
educating children.
Children look at FOX network, they look at Cops, Jerry Springer,
Forgive or Forget, Judge Judy or Oprah. They forgot the highly
recommended educational programs produced by Quebec's best
producers. Kids don't give a damn about culture, history and the
future of their land. All they care about is looking like Britney
Spears at 5 years old or trying to be cool like Puff Daddy. Short
skirts at 5... pretty cool hah?
Violence is at its highest rate in history. We didn't use to know
murders in our school. We saw it on American TV... then, it went on
here. We didn't know Road Rage. We heard about
it on American TV... then, it went on here. We didn't know children
killing parents... it happened.
What goes on in the U.S., if it's fine with us... it's ok.
It's their way of living. But, here it ain't the same. And, people
tend to appreciate the Think Big pattern. The looks, sex, cars and
getting drunk. In what year was Quebec discovered? Who in 1980
created the souverainist party? Ask these 2 questions to people
and kids in the street. They won't even know. They won't even care.
Province of Quebec:
From its creation, up to now, people wanted to be independent,
to have rights over their cultural being and language.
Quebec wants to be a country with its own laws and rights.
But, in the eighties Americans became a big led on people's head...
influenced by McDonald eating, WallMart pricing and cheap products...
and, most importantly The Think Big way of thinking --
an American way of thinking.
stuck between a country and a province.
