Webster's Collegiate dictionary defines a Locksmith as "one who makes or repairs locks." That's "one who MAKES or REPAIRS locks." No offense to our colleagues but, how many Locksmiths do you think can actually fabricate a lock, let alone repair a lock. Most other Locksmiths will just replace your lock with a new one. This is ok but how many of the older homes out there have beautiful, well-made locks that fit perfectly into your existing doors and windows . Some of these doors and windows are made from wonderful old wood that is not even available on the market today. Modern equipment does not always fit properly into these existing beautiful hardwoods without modifications that often damage the doors and windows.
